RE: Caeli McDaniel Novel Debut

‘Nearer, My God, to Thee’ Sets Sail!

Dublin, Ohio- Author and Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Caeli McDaniel launches her debut novel, ‘Nearer, My God, to Thee’ on Kindle in an eBook format, available April 20!

Caeli’s heartbreaking untold tale from the RMS Titanic is a fusion of fact and fiction with focus on the eight courageous musicians who sacrificed their own lives, playing till the bitter end on April 15, 1912. Fictional content features an amateur violinist destined to perform with eight virtuoso musicians, who were virtually unknown to most of the world. In truth, their fate will eternally live in infamy.

~Poignant ~ Heart Rending ~ Romance ~Intrigue ~ Hopes and Dreams~

It was on this day, April 10, 1912, the newly formed quintet and trio for the Titanic’s maiden voyage, boarded the ship in Southampton. Most of them had already performed on other liners and were looking forward to a new opportunity. Unfortunately, the White Star Line lowered their wages and cut uniform allowances. However, the pledged musicians forged ahead.

As a Celtic artist, composer and performer herself, Caeli McDaniel raises the veil on what happens behind the scenes, the division of classes in the early 1900’s and the challenges for musicians on those big steamers.

~Music CD with Arrangements for Strings ~

With the coming  2020 release ihardback, Ms. McDaniel will include a companion music CD of selections that would have been performed by the Titanic’s orchestra, led by Maestro Wallace Hartley, featuring Celtic and Classical arrangements with violin, cello, viola, bass viol and piano, produced and performed by Caeli.

Worldwide fascination with the epic tragedy of Titanic’s collision with an iceberg in the North Atlantic remains stronger today more than ever. On Friday, April 12, 2019, Caeli will appear in Lancaster, Ohio for a ‘Meet the Author’ event and read a sneak preview of her writing, sharing what occurred 107 years ago on April 12, 1912.

So, take the journey with Colin MacCulvagh of the County Cork in Ireland and discover the infinite possibilities of what might have been on the maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic.

Please take time for a moment of silence on Sunday, April 15th to remember: Wallace Hartley, John Law ‘Jock’ Hume, John Frederick Clarke, Roger Bricoux, Theo Brailey, Percy Cornelius Taylor, John Wesley Woodward and Georges Krins.

We respectfully invite your review or commentary. A .pdf ARC/Galley file of the manuscript is available upon your request. Please include your publication, contact information and email address.

Thank you for your consideration and support!
